Allow us to reintroduce Ashley Kipferl, our Communication Coordinator! Ashley is starting full-time with Literacy Rochester (LR) this summer.
Ashley is a recent graduate from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She earned a degree in Communication Studies while minoring in Business Administration. While in school, she participated in several clubs and organizations – both on and off campus – her favorites being the Transfer Student Organization and the Sustainability Committee. Ashley is a Rochester native and also previously attended Monroe Community College where she received her associate degree in Communication and Media Studies.
Ashley is no newbie to LR as she started as a Community Engagement intern in February 2023. Later she was promoted to part-time in May 2024 where she continued to manage the social media pages, write blog posts, and publish the monthly newsletters for LR and sister organization, LiteracyCNY. Today, she will continue with those tasks and also be working on some new projects. She looks forward to continuing her work promoting the organization and spreading awareness of the many different facets of adult illiteracy in the community.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outside whether it be camping, taking walks at her local parks, or gardening. If you’re visiting the office, feel free to say hello to her!
