Meet a Board Member…. Fred Crilly

“Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become” – C.S. Lewis

When I joined the Board I wanted to be able to help grow an extremely beneficial organization to many individuals in our Rochester community. Knowing that this organization can better the lives of so many individuals and help them achieve success is what brought me to Literacy Rochester. I love to see others accomplish something they have been striving toward for years, and knowing the hard work they have put in to get there is very rewarding. Bringing people in who want to better themselves in literacy and education can help them complete tasks in their life they never thought were possible.
