Literacy Volunteers of Rochester incorporates as an independent organization and separates from United Church Women. The first annual meeting takes place and a $3,500 budget is approved. In addition, teh organization moves into an “office” of its own at the RIT building at 50 West Main Street. The “office” consisted of one desk with no phone, but the rent was free!!
