New Volunteer Opportunities
Work with other tutors and help more students in our NEW Spectrum Learning Center
Learning Center Tutors
Assists students, individually or in groups, who drop-in to our new learning center, on designated days. Tutors will work with other tutors to introduce or reinforce learning concepts, using independent computer-based applications and/or hard copy resource materials. All materials will be provided and LVR staff will be on hand if needed. We need reading and math tutors who are comfortable with helping students at multiple levels. Location: LVR
Learning Center Assistants
Explains and demonstrates the use of the computers used in the learning center. Assists students with reading, math, and English language programs that they can come in and use during computer lab times. Location: LVR
ESL group conversation tutors
Two or more tutors will work with a group of ESL students on their speaking and listening skills. Students will have similar levels of speaking and listening skills. Staff will provide guidance for the conversation groups as needed. Location: LVR
