Sabera Quraishi is an Afghan who has been living in Rochester for about one year.
She has been practicing English while working on digital literacy skills at OACES with the assistance of a computer help volunteer from Literacy Rochester’s Digital Literacy program.
Quraishi defines digital literacy as “using a computer to read and write” noting “now my typing is very good from learning here at OACES.”
As a high school graduate, she wants to take her newly honed skills to Monroe Community College to fulfill her goal of working in the health care field and bring her parents’ dream to life.
