Ed Park started as a Monroe County Digital Literacy Volunteer at the East Rochester Library in April 2022. He decided to join Literacy Rochester as a volunteer because he has always wanted to help others. Ed assists others well due to having a great deal of patience.
Ed’s advice to prospective volunteers—”Be yourself and help people come together.”
Ed’s advice to customers—”Don’t be afraid. We welcome you with open doors. Any digital problems you have, we can tackle them together.”
Ed has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from The University of Buffalo. A Westchester County native, Ed moved to Rochester to work as a Systems Engineer for Xerox. He is taking a break from work to be a freelance web designer. Web development inspires him, and it gives him the ability to exercise his creativity.
When Ed is not freelancing or volunteering, he likes to bake and is part of the Pittsford Pinnacle Toastmaster’s Club. He also enjoys origami and takes outdoor walks with friends.
